minimalmovieposters: Synecdoche, New York by plakiat impossible not to sound pretentious saying this, but I swear this is one of the most remarkable pieces of art I’ve ever seen, both in the obvious sense that someone found such brilliant and effective ways to tell what’s ultimately (and ironically) not a particularly complicated story, and also that some people decided to give Charlie Kaufman $20 million to make it, and that he did a lot more than you’d expect he could with $20 million. shit’s ambitious. a miracle both technically and artistically, imo.
